This Privacy Policy explains how Sale Scheduler (the “App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you install and use the App on your Shopify store. The App is operated by Pholidota Studio, S.L. (trading as Pango Studio), Madrid, Spain.
By installing or using Sale Scheduler you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. About the App
Sale Scheduler is an admin-only Shopify application that lets merchants schedule sales: it changes product and variant prices (and the compare-at price) at a start time and automatically restores the original prices at the end. It runs inside the Shopify admin and does not add any code to your storefront or theme.
To provide this functionality, the App requests the minimum access scopes it needs: read_products and write_products.
2. Information We Access and Process
2.1 Store and account information
When you install the App, Shopify provides us with basic information about your store, which may include: your store domain (myshopify.com URL), store name, the store owner or primary contact name and email, store locale, currency, and timezone, and your Shopify plan. We use this to install, operate, support, and bill for the App.
2.2 Product and pricing data
To schedule and restore sales, the App reads and writes product catalogue data, including: products, variants, prices, compare-at prices, SKUs, product options, collections, and tags. When you schedule a sale, the App stores a snapshot of the original prices and compare-at prices for the affected variants so that it can restore them exactly when the sale ends. It also stores the sale configurations and schedules you create.
2.3 Technical and usage data
We may process limited technical logs (for example, timestamps of scheduled actions, error logs, and app settings) to operate the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
2.4 What we do NOT collect
Sale Scheduler does not access, collect, or store your customers’ personal data. It does not read orders, checkout data, or storefront visitor information, and it does not track your buyers. The App’s access is limited to product and pricing data as described above.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the App’s core functionality (scheduling price changes and restoring original prices automatically).
- To store price snapshots so that your original prices can be restored accurately.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To manage billing and subscriptions (handled through Shopify Managed Pricing — we do not process or store your payment card details).
- To maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, debug, and improve the App.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process information on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the App), our legitimate interests (to secure, support, and improve the App), and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising. We share information only as needed to run the App:
- Shopify: the App runs on the Shopify platform; data is exchanged with Shopify’s APIs to read and update your products and to manage billing.
- Infrastructure providers: we use trusted third-party cloud hosting and infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf, under appropriate data processing terms, solely to host and run the App.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights and the security of the service.
6. Data Retention
We retain your store settings, sale configurations, and price snapshots for as long as the App is installed, because they are needed to run scheduled sales and to restore prices. When you uninstall the App, or when we receive a shop data-erasure request from Shopify, we delete the associated data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
7. Shopify Mandatory Data Requests
In line with Shopify’s requirements, the App implements the mandatory compliance webhooks:
- customers/data_request and customers/redact: because Sale Scheduler does not store any customer personal data, we hold no customer information to return or erase in response to these requests.
- shop/redact: when Shopify sends this request (typically 48 hours after a store uninstalls the App), we delete the store’s data held by the App.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to promptly address any issues.
9. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Children’s Privacy
The App is a business tool intended for merchants and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means.
